Communication
For your most enjoyable and beneficial massage, communication is the key to getting your needs met. If you are cold, if the pressure is too much, if the lights are too bright-whatever the issue, by all means let me know. I'll be checking in frequently with you, too.
What do I wear during my massage?
Dress to your comfort level. Some of my clients keep all their clothes on and some take all their clothes off; both are acceptable as well as anything in between. During the massage, you are draped with sheets for privacy and comfort.
What should I eat and drink before and after?
Here's my recommendation: Avoid eating one hour before your massage. I like to eat light meals or snacks and stay hydrated with plenty of water before and after receiving my massages.
Sobriety, please
There are several downsides to being under the influence during your massage, the most important being how alcohol or drugs plays havoc with the body's systems. Combined with massage that means increased absorption rates and the potential to feel nausea, etc; a danger to your body and a waste of good massage time and money.
How big a space is needed?
My massage table is 27" wide and 5' 8" long. A space of at least 5 x 10 feet is preferred for the most comfortable experience for both of us.
Shower up
A massage is a great way to end a long day. Before receiving one, jump in the shower and rinse off the grime and energy of the day's events.
